Marquette with back-to-back wins in the Pick'Em contest! Don't take the Golden Eagles lightly! They may have lost Ighodaro and Kolek, but this is still a team to with A LOT of talent. Kam Jones is a stud!
I'm now 0-2 picking Purdue (picked Bama to beat us). Hopefully that's the last time @dukedevilz puts Purdue in the pick 6.Honestly, go **** yourself for making me pick Purdue

I thought it was pretty obvious after watching their game this weekend at Maryland. Maryland is no joke, they are a very underrated team with one of the top freshman in the country. That's saying something because this is the best freshman class since at least 2018. Marquette went into their building and took care of business.
Meanwhile, everyone was salivating over Purdue because of tghe win vs Alabama, but that was at home with a very loud crowd and Bama couldn't him a shot to save their lives. And it wasn;t like they were missing because of Purdue's defense, they were missing wide open looks all game. I knew Marquette was going to have little difficulty taking care of Purdue last night. Picked them for 4 points, wish I had them even higher.
Don't have any issues with anything you said here. Bama's 3-point shooting isn't going to be as sharp as last year. Sears and Wrightsell are elite. But, Stevenson and Nelson? Nah, let them shoot all day. Take your chances. Losing Griffen was a huge loss for them. Bama should look a little different once Chris Youngblood comes back, though.
I really like this Maryland team. I had them in my preseason top 50 and I think they have a great shot at making the tournament. So yes, Marquette winning in a hostile arena like that in the second week of the season is very, very impressive.
Bama has been very unimpressive thus far. Single digit wins against Arkansas State and McNeese followed by the loss to Purdue. Might have a battle on their hands tonight against Illinois.I thought it was pretty obvious after watching their game this weekend at Maryland.
