How did they draw this up? Auburn and Iowa State in the quarterfinals seems kind of weird - arguably the two best teams in the tournament. And 3 of the top 10 teams in the country are in the bottom half of the bracket.

seems like they wanted to give UConn as easy a path as possible so they could have a great shot at having the 2 time defending champ in the final. UConn is the sell here, not UNC or Auburn or Iowa State. Uconn vs any of those 3 teams in the final is the most desirable outcome.

I'd prefer to have two different top-10 matchups in the semifinals. That would be must-see tv. But, maybe they do want to ensure they have one really, really good matchup in the finals.
