Places that are hurting are unprepared because it never gets this cold. But, our state definitely dropped the ball on preparation. Snow is not the issue. It's the ice and freezing cold. Homes and buildings are not built to handle this sort of weather here. I know a lot of people who have been without power or water for 5 days so far,, and no way to stay warm except blankets. That's not fun. This type of weather event has not ever happened in our recent history, so it's unprecedented. The last time it got this cold this far south Santa Anna was marching his army north through snow. That's a little bit ago.

You guys can make fun all you want, but I better not hear anyone complain about a heat wave again on this board. You guys handle the heat about as well as we do the cold.
