OU has been playing well. ISU needs a road wins to have any chance at sharing the title.

ISU has passed well and been hitting the outside shot. Hope we can keep this up.

Bad offense gave the door for the OU comeback before half. Fun game.

6 attempted FT. So, so many jumpers in this one. Going 9-13 from three is one way to neutralize the Sooners' defense.

Another PATHETIC road effort by ISU. Been saying it all year, this team does not have the heart of a Champion.

OU is playing out of their minds. ISU is playing some matador defense, but the Sooners are hitting everything. KU hasn't looked as good in any game as OU has tonight.

Georges Niang is a tremendous offensive player but he can't guard a chair.

He just fouls the chair and usually gets away with it.

KU looked this good at AFH vs. ISU.

    There is a common denominator.

I never praise Hoiberg for his love of teaching defensive fundamentals, but you're talking about two of the best shooting teams in the league playing inspired at home.

No team in the Big 12 has been good on the road for a reason. ISU is still in the Big 12 race.

Oklahoma is 2 games back, and still has Kansas coming to Norman on the final weekend, Senior Day.

If Kansas drops even just 1 game (@ West Virginia, @K-State, Baylor, Texas, OSU etc.) the Sooners could win a share of the Big 12 title on the last day of the season.

If KU somehow drops 2, the Sooners could out-right win the Big 12 title that day

Yeah that won't happen. OU still has to come to Hilton.

After what I watched tonight, OU is the FAR superior team.

I mean, you guys were absolutely ON FIRE, in a way you haven't been all season (started 9-12 from deep), yet you still trailed by 20 late in the 2nd half.

Once you guys started playing like you normally do, OU outscored you by 30 [IMG]

ISU has lost 4 road games in a row.

And you still have to go

    @ Oklahoma State
    @ Texas
    @ K-State
    @ TCU

Even if you were to split those, ISU is out of the Big12 race.

I think OU wins their next 5, and plays KU for the Big12 title on Senior Day.

You haven't been watching many Big 12 games. The home team usually looks like the superior team by far. ISU isn't going to win the title, but OU won't get there either without KU falling on its face.

Well, I've been to 15 Big12 games this season in person, including the OU-ISU game in Norman tonight.

I've also been to games @Oklahoma State, Kansas, Texas, K-State, Hilton, TCU, and Baylor this season.

Picking Oklahoma to win in Hilton is not a stretch, AT ALL.

Oklahoma defends (most games) at a high level, and they have the ability to make shots from anywhere, which makes them a lot more capable on the road.

As well, Oklahoma just matches up great with Iowa State.

Spangler can neutralize Niang better than anyone else in the league (as he showed tonight), and Thomas is a tough matchup for ISU down low with his size and versatility.

As well, Cousins, Hield, and Woodard are (IMO) the best backcourt in the Big12.

I know the Big12 better than most.

As a KU fan, I was cheering for OU tonight because outside of Allen, Hilton is the toughest venue to win at and I believe ISU will win the return game against OU. I believe 4 losses wins/ties for the league, but now I am even more inclined to say 5 might get it done. KU still plays at Tech tonight, @ Manhattan, @ WVU, and @OU. I think there is two losses in there minimum. Tonight is hue for KU...tech has played very well at times at home. @Manhattan is a rivalry game, WVU is a bad matchup (you all seen how KU handles full court pressure in the OSU game,) and I believe OU is the best team in the conference right now. IF OU was to win out with a chance to win the conference at home it will be absolutely crazy, but it can happen. Not to forget, KU still plays Baylor, Texas, and WVU at home. Going to be a fun last month.

    Why?

If you have been to all of these games you'd know that almost all of the teams look completely different at home. More so this year than most.

OU hasn't played that well offensively in years. ISU has major defensive issues, but I'll be surprised if they lose to OU in Ames.

Oklahoma played great last night. ISU has underwhelmed me this season.

Really? Sure, teams usually play better at home. But that's true in every conference.

But did that stop Iowa State from beating WVU in Morgantown?

Or Oklahoma State beating Baylor in Waco?

Or Oklahoma beating OSU in Stillwater?

Or Oklahoma beating Texas in Austin?

Or Kansas beating Baylor in Waco?

Or Baylor beating WVU in Morgantown?

Or Texas beating K-State in Manhattan?

Or K-State beating Oklahoma in Norman?

Or Kansas from beating Texas in Austin?

    Should I keep going?

Lets try not to be stupid and act like Big12 teams just play out of their minds at home and teams can never win on the road.

And Oklahoma hasn't played that well offensively in years?

Did you watch the 2nd half against Kansas in the Phog? I did, I was there, sat 12 rows up behind KU's bench.

    And how about last season?

Oklahoma was 5th in the nation in scoring, 7th in the nation in 3pt shooting, and averaged 82 PPG.

They scored over 90 Points eight times last season, and scored over 80 points 19 times (Including scoring 87 on ISU last season).

You act as if Oklahoma usually scores in the 50's, and they just played insane last night.

They've been doing this for a couple of years now.

Maybe you guys are the ones who haven't been watching the Big12 very much.

Oklahoma is 2nd in the nation in top-50 RPI wins (9), winning 3 of those on the road.

Oklahoma is 9-4 against the top-50, ISU is 5-4.

Oklahoma has been the better team this season.

Oklahoma will beat ISU in Hilton.

Iowa State returned home and beat WVU by 20, and OU hit the road and lost @ K-State by 3 tonight.

Didn't see the game but pretty questionable free throw discrepancy there. Held ksu to under 30 percent shooting and lost.

Lots of Home Cooking tonight as ALWAYS. Worst calls were the 3 pointer after the clock ran out on K-State and the 5th foul on Spangler. Oh well. That's one of the reasons it is so tOUgh on the road in the Big Xii.

    :)

You guys can think of a million scenarios about how ISU or Oklahoma can win the league or how they are the best big 12 team. You somehow forgot the most important piece. And Doug gotlieb expressed it perfectly yesterday. Death, taxes, and kansas winning the big 12.

Pretty Terrible when a team that is among the leaders in the country in opponents trips to the line and suddenly they get 38 of them? That game had to have been brutal. I hate that crap

That's true. Iowa State is currently 2nd in the Big Xii with 6 games to go, and they have NO CHANCE to win the Conference, because they are horrid on the road.. It does say a lot about KU and the fact that the rest of the conference is just not up to snuff. It's pathetic that a league can have the same team win it year after year after year, and that is not KU's fault. It is the fault of Iowa State, OU, Texas, Okla. State, etc.
