No wonder Marquette is so hard to beat....

If refs aren't consistently calling a tech when a coach is that far out on the court, as an opposing player, I would run into him hard and flop like a dying fish. Either coaches start getting banged up from getting run into at full speed or coaches stop going out onto the court.

Bob Huggins says he never retired, demands reinstatement?

Pretty sure when he said “…take a course to verify…” I’m pretty sure he was meaning course of action, direction or pathway and not a training class of some type. Maybe I’m wrong.

Bob Huggins says he never retired, demands reinstatement?

I think that I read his contract required a resignation letter to be handed to WVU in person by Hugs himself or via certified mail. Nothing else is valid. No one seems to be disputing that WVU took the email from his wife as his formal letter of resignation. Contractually he could walk...

A few of these streaks are ending this year

Yep. Still can’t tell if you’re joking or not. I’m assuming that you are.

Can't tell if this is sarcasm or not.

Will Hubert Davis Be UNC's Coach Five Years From Now?

In the scenario I laid out, I assumed that he was consistently in the 23-8 range heading into the ACC tournament. It’s just a scenario and not a prediction before anyone jumps down my throat. If we assume that of the 8 losses, 2-3 are going to happen in the non-con. UNC regularly plays...

Will Hubert Davis Be UNC's Coach Five Years From Now?

As I said, 8 or more losses before the ACC tournament…not for the year. In this example, we are saying 6 or fewer years for Davis. So looking at Roy’s first 6 years, he had 8 losses before the ACC tournament exactly once. He also had two NC’s, a Final Four, and an Elite 8. If Davis is...

Will Hubert Davis Be UNC's Coach Five Years From Now?

I think the only reason why he’s not getting more pressure right now is because UNC had a ridiculous run from March 1st on (7-2 including a 5-1 NCAA tourney. They were 23-8 heading into the ACC tournament and if they win out the rest of their regular season, they will head to the ACC tournament...

    Pretty cool

I think the biggest thing that people are losing visibility of is how the NCAA is attempting to redefine booster in these cases...not just KU's but all of them. They're trying to extend the booster title to every single employee of every single vendor that a school contracts with. It's a scope...

    Illgotten Gains

You do understand that there must be evidence of an action before the NCAA can punish anyone for said action right? Based on the fact that this has been hanging out there for literally years, I think it’s probably pretty fair to assume that they didn’t have what they thought they did.

Why does the university of Kansas….

It’s an old Big 8 thing. No idea why.

    Caleb Love

Agbaji is weird. He can go through long stretches where he’s just cold and not wanting to shoot. Then suddenly he will score 10-12 points in 2 minutes. He can also start off stupid hot and then just disappear. Against Nova he scored 12 points on 4-4 shooting from 3 in the first 8 minutes of...

How the Conferences are stacking up in Tourney

Same issue when it was in OKC. Attendance was garbage too. OKC was better than Dallas, but it was not great. I don’t think I’ve heard many bad things about the tournament from the people that have actually attended it in KC. It’s a big party that happens to have some basketball games for a...

    Sorry Kansas and Kentucky…

My guess is that people have looked at the same data leading into the tournament and realized that it was so varied it could include 2/3 of the field in a given year…which is why no one uses the pre-tourney data.
  19. cwobrien11

Kansas.....why ever could you be losing, I wonder.

It would still be an incorrect call. The NCAA rulebook states that the act of shooting begins simultaneously with the start of the try and ends when the ball is clearly in flight, including when the shooter is an airborne shooter. Basically it starts on a jump shot the second the shooter...
