Mgbako at the 4 and Malik at the 5 with Trey and two good portal guards could be pretty viable but then my fear becomes depth. I just don’t see how this is at all a tourney team next year and how it isn’t apocalyptic with fans in Bloomington by Feb 1.
This is like the third time I’ve been hit with this in this thread I lurk in over the past couple of years lol.
As far as the three bigs I’d say Ware is gone, Mgbako and Malik are 50/50, so maybe we keep one of those three?
On one hand no one leaving upsets me but on the other hand Woody has 7 slots to fill once Ware goes and I weep for what next year looks like in Bloomington.
The funniest narrative of this B1G season was Painter griping about how they’re officiated. Purdue has been one of the worst proponents of tackle basketball for a while now. But hey, it works and B1G refs suck so you do you PU.
If you believe Indiana offered him the world to come home and rebuild that program and that he said no with the distinct possibility he's going to get fired in a couple months from a losing Celtics job, then I don't think he's going to go coach anywhere in college on purpose again.
IU Basketball has hit the special point where I barely give AF. Our administration has willingly ceded any argument that we're still a blue blood at this point. They need to fire him and make a splash but they'll probably do something ridiculous like bring him back or bring in Alford. Who knew...
