Who are the golfers here and how do you shoot?

Oh, I have zero issues with people taking whatever they want for gimmes. Take mulligans, use a foot wedge, whatever. Just play and have fun as long as no money is involved. It's just technically not a handicap eligible round. I actually want my handicap to go up tbh.

Who are the golfers here and how do you shoot?

Pros only make 77% of 5 feet putts and 88% of 4 feet putts so definitely should not take any gimmes from there.

Who are the golfers here and how do you shoot?

IDK, sounds like around a 15 hcp to me. That isn't a good golfer (but not awful either), just someone who now and then can get close to 80 but generally is in the 85-95 range.

Who are the golfers here and how do you shoot?

They have some night tournaments here but I've never played one.

Who are the golfers here and how do you shoot?

It helps making the smart decision for sure. I've gotten better at that. The main course I play has a par three that plays anywhere from 210 to 230 yards. That's just too much for me. So I'll hit a driving iron or 4 iron knowing I'll be short. I have a shot at getting up and down for par or...

Who are the golfers here and how do you shoot?

I got grouped up in the last flight of a tournament once with a guy, really good golfer, who only carries 7 clubs. Said he never used the others so just stopped carrying them.

    Uh… so, Duke implodes…?

Just a lot of young talent and the other guys want to play. It's just the way things are these days. Bring in a ton of young talent, even if they are a little overhyped, and dudes aren't going to want to sit behind them. Losing Roach is the one that hurts the most IMO. I thought he would have...

Who are the golfers here and how do you shoot?

Yeah, I really need to get fitted into iron shafts, which would give me the weight and flex and everything I need. Honestly, with the advancements in graphite I would like for my next set to have those. I'm almost 50 so assume at some point soon I'll move into R flex for most things. When I try...

Who are the golfers here and how do you shoot?

That's wild. I always wondered how tough it would be. I course I play from time to time has ran as much as 12 before and that's really fast but they would still hold. The greens the pros play on are that fast and also difficult to hold. I can't imagine how scary some of those putts would be...

Who are the golfers here and how do you shoot?

The pros are so good at that. They can take almost any wedge and do any shot with it. When I went to Augusta few years back what amazed me the most was how low they played almost all of their pitch and chip shots. Whether they were using a 60* or 51* or whether they where 10 or 70 yards away...

Who are the golfers here and how do you shoot?

Yeah, scoring well at our level, since we are amateurs whose swings will be wildly inconsistent, has to be based on the short game IMO. I spend a lot of time working on my distances from 20 yards up to 100 yards in 5 yard increments and know exactly what I want to do with my feet, ball...

Who are the golfers here and how do you shoot?

I got fitted years ago and everything was standard for me in terms of lie angle and all of that sort of thing. I think being fitted for club and shafts is a great idea though. I tend to buy a driver and multiple shafts and sort of fit myself and then sell off the shafts I don't use. I would...

Who are the golfers here and how do you shoot?

I'm a 5.8. I generally shoot between 80 and 85, but will have a good month where I'll fire off a number of rounds in the mid to low 70s so that keeps my HC down. Had my first round int he 70s this past weekend so hopefully those will pick up now that I'm more into some sort of flow. In our...

    Calipari to Arkansas?

Not buying it. Why the heck would Calipari do that unless they were giving him ridiculous amounts of money.

Sears is getting severely handchecked constantly when he has the ball and gets no calls but then gets called for the same thing on the other end.
