And I don't mean the qualified assistant who is hired by choice. Hubert Davis and Adrian Autry are persona non grata, and Jon Scheyer has been solid, but still missing some March success. Although ultimately I feel good about Scheyer.
More than anything though, have we seen the last of the "internal pressure" hires that are facilitated through legends like K, Roy, and Boeheim? Lifers with untethered political power are seemingly a thing of the past. What coaches are left that have the leverage to facilitate such demands? Izzo? Self? I can't see Kansas going this route, and I have no idea what Izzo's situation is.
